Easter Weekend 2008

Ella was exhausted Sunday night from a weekend full of activities. Besides eating extra candy, Ella also colored eggs with Granddad and Mimi, attended Kate's birthday party, and hunted for easter eggs at Pinehurst park. After snoozing through church, she survived pictures, lunch, and lots of kisses from her adoring parents.

Ella enjoys the spring weather on Palm Sunday

Ella wanted to play around after church today. She also reminded daddy that he had not posted to her website in quite a long time. So, we accomplished both today.

Ella has a new baby with all the trimmings

Ella had a wonderful Christmas and has already opened some of her birthday gifts from Aunt Pam. Ella has been very busy since she received her new Bitty Baby for Christmas. She spends most of the day moving baby from highchair to crib and back. I cannot believe she will be two years old in a couple of weeks. We are grateful to have such a generous and loving family.

Ella visits the critter farm and brings home a pumpkin

Ella first found a pumpkin too big to carry. However, she did find just the perfect one once we got down to the pumpkin patch. It was a great day for a hayride. Mommy is glad she decided not to bring home any of the goats, pigs, or chickens.

Brad's cousin Alva made this dainty frock from a vintage pillow case. Ella seemed more interested in the bumble bees buzzing around the hydrangeas. We hope that she can wear it on the beach this summer.

Ella enjoys A-Day on the Quad!!

Ella had a great time during Alabama's A-day game. She and 92,000 other fans cheered for our new coach. The weather was perfect as we enjoyed tailgating with a host of friends.

Ella enjoys an Easter egg hunt at Pinehurst park

Ella was not too crazy about the easter bunny this year; however, she took the egg hunting seriously after the hunt began. Inside the eggs, she discovered sidewalk chalk, finger puppets, jelly beans, and chocolate. Obviously, the chocolate was her favorite.

Ella gets a visit from her friend Repp

Ella really enjoyed chasing Repp around the house all weekend. However, they did stop long enough for daddy to catch this picture. They especially enjoyed spreading wild flower seeds and planting flowers for Repp's parents.

Watch out, Ella is Walking!!!

Ella is now walking from one end of the house to the other. She always seems to have at least one item in her hands while she is walking as seen above. Maybe she is going to be really good at multi-tasking?

Although, Ella seemed pretty cautious her first time down. She gained quite a bit of confidence after convincing dad to go down ten times.

Ella celebrates 1st Birthday with her classmates!!

Ella's mother prepared cupcakes for Ella's class at school. Everyone demonstrated that the cupcakes were a lot better than the normal afternoon snack of crackers.

Santa came to visit Ella..

Ella has been a good girl this year, so Santa rewarded her with lots of gifts. She also enjoyed toys from her grandparents, aunts and uncles, as well as her cousins and dear friends.

Ella was all smiles this week. She made her first visit to the Gulf of Mexico. This girl loves the sand and water. Next year, I predict big sand castles.

Visit from Granddad

Ella's granddad takes over the feeding duties during a recent visit to Tuscaloosa. This shot was taken shortly after we arrrived home from Ella's kindermusic class.

Maggie is sweet!!

Maggie has been very sweet to give up her house to Ella and Kate during the day. Maggie no longer gets to lounge around the house alone. Ella seems to be quite fond of Maggie as she stands guard.

Godmother Visits

Jackie stopped by to visit Ella during her latest trip to T-town. Ella decided she wants a tan.

Lake party!!

Ella sure did enjoy visiting Repp, her boy friend, at the lake this weekend. They had a good time. Ella is not quite ready to ski, but she sure does seem to like the lake!!

Ella's nanny leaves for Law school

It was a sad day for Ella as Shelley's last day was Friday. Shelley is heading to law school. Ella and the rest of us miss her already; we wish her the best of luck and look forward to her future visits.

Ella seemed to be very fond of the water during her first swim in a big pool. We assured Glenn, pool owner, there would be no accidents. We had a great time and lucky for Ella, the sun remained behind the clouds.
